Stavros Tziortziopoulos

Stavros Tziortziopoulos born August 15 1978 in Athens is a Greece Football (soccer) football (soccer) defender currently playing for Skoda Xanthi F.C. In 2006-07 Stavros Tziortziopoulos played for AEK Athens FC.

Giorgiopoulos started Stavros Tziortziopoulos career at third division side Keratsini FC in the 1997-98 in Greek football and Stavros Tziortziopoulos performances caught the eye of Olympiacos CFP, who signed Stavros Tziortziopoulos in the summer of 1998. Six months later Stavros Tziortziopoulos went on loan to Iraklis FC to gain experience and stayed until January 2000, when Stavros Tziortziopoulos returned to Olympiacos to make Stavros Tziortziopoulos debut. The defender, a former Greece national under-21 football team, played ten times as they won the 1999-00 in Greek football but only featured four more times in the following two triumphs. In July 2002, Stavros Tziortziopoulos joined Akratitos FC and the next summer Stavros Tziortziopoulos was on the move again, signing for Panionios NFC. It was there that Stavros Tziortziopoulos career took off and after a fine season Stavros Tziortziopoulos joined AEK Athens FC in the summer of 2004-05 in Greek football. When signing in AEK F.C. was considered one of the best left-footed backs in Greece. After a faw games with the team it was thought that Stavros Tziortziopoulos would join the Greece national football team. Unfortunately, Stavros Tziortziopoulos was injured in December 2004 and returned more than a year later. Since then, Stavros Tziortziopoulos has had Stavros Tziortziopoulos ups and downs, unable to stabilise Stavros Tziortziopoulos appearances with the team.

On 12 November 2006, Stavros Tziortziopoulos scored for the first time for AEK Athens F.C against AEL 1964. On 7 June 2007 Stavros was released by AEK Athens and immediately signed with the Cyprus club Omonia Nicosia.
