Vitorino Gabriel Pacheco Antunes (born 1 April 1987) is a Portugal under-21 international Football (soccer) player who plays in the left-back position for A.S. Roma in the Italian Serie A. He had joined Portuguese Liga club FC Paços de Ferreira in the 2006-07 season on a free transfer from Portuguese Second Division club Sport Clube Freamunde, after two seasons without making a single appearance.
After a season of excellent displays, he was linked with moves to English Premier League side Aston Villa, AJ Auxerre, Atlético Madrid, F.C. Porto, S.L. Benfica, Deportivo La Coruña and most notably Juventus. A move to the Italian club was close to being complete, but fell through upon the player knowing that he would be immediately loaned to a Serie B club to gain playing time and experience.
On August 29th 2007, just two days before the close of the transfer window, Italian giants and UEFA Champions League contenders A.S. Roma bought the player on a loan deal with the option to buy him permanently in May 2008.
