Paulo Ricardo Machado
Paulo Ricardo Ribeiro de Jesus Machado (born 31 March 1986 in Bairro do Cerco, Porto) is a Portugal football (soccer) midfielder. He currently plays for AS Saint-Étienne, on loan from F.C. Porto.

Paulo Ricardo Ribeiro de Jesus Machado (born 31 March 1986 in Bairro do Cerco, Porto) is a Portugal football (soccer) midfielder. He currently plays for AS Saint-Étienne, on loan from F.C. Porto.
Club career
Machado started his career in F.C. Porto's youth system, and made his first team debut in the 2003-04 Portuguese Cup, under José Mourinho. In summer 2005, after a short loan with Associação Académica de Coimbra - O.A.F., he signed an improved contact until 2010 along with teammate Bruno Vale, before both went on consecutive loans to C.F. Estrela da Amadora and U.D. Leiria.
From 2007-09, he was loaned again, respectively to Leixões S.C and Ligue 1's AS Saint-Étienne. On July 10, 2008, he was loaned to the France outfit, part of the deal that brought Colombia Freddy Guarín to Porto.
International career
Machado was part of the Portugal national under-21 football team at 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. Previously, he won the 2003 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship.
