Marek Čech (born 26 January, 1983 in Trebišov, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovakian professional football (soccer) currently playing for West Bromwich Albion. He primarily plays as an attacking left-sided wing-back.
He has previously played for Inter Bratislava, Sparta Prague and FC Porto. While at AC Sparta Prague, Čech was part of a no-nonsense defence. In the 2005–06 season he was part of Co Adriaanse's triumphant domestic league and cup winning FC Porto. He also plays for the Slovakia national football team and was a regular part of the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying team.
On 15 July 2008 Čech signed for Premier League team West Bromwich Albion for £1.4 million. He made his debut the following month, playing in midfield in a 1–0 defeat to Arsenal F.C. in the opening game of the Premier League 2008–09 Premier League season.
