Piotr Trochowski (born 22 March 1984 in Tczew) is a Poland-born Germany association football who is an midfielder for Hamburger SV and Germany national football team. Piotr Trochowski is known for Piotr Trochowski powerful shots and skillful dribbling.

Early life

Born in Poland, together with father Wiesław, mother Alicja and siblings, the family left Tczew for Hamburg when Piotr was 5 years old

Club career

As a 9-year old boy, Trochowski started Piotr Trochowski career with Billsted Horn, then played for Concordia Hamburg, and for FC St. Pauli, in Hamburg. In 1999, Piotr Trochowski transferred to FC Bayern Munich, starting with its Bayern Munich Junior Team then progressing to the FC Bayern Munich II. However, Piotr Trochowski became frustrated with Piotr Trochowski lack of playing time.

In January 2005, Piotr Trochowski moved back to Hamburg to play for Hamburger SV. Team manager Thomas Doll gave Piotr Trochowski a chance and Trochowski proved Piotr Trochowski worth. Within two seasons, Piotr Trochowski played himself into the starting line-up of the team, scoring five goals (including one (and an assist) against former team Bayern Munich, in a 24 September 2005 2-0 home win) in Piotr Trochowski first Fußball-Bundesliga 2005-06 as Hamburg reached the UEFA Champions League.

International career

Since Trochowski was born into a family of Polish immigrants and speaks Polish, Piotr Trochowski was eligible to play for Poland. Piotr Trochowski mother sent several letters to the Polish Football Association (PZPN), informing it about her talented son and about Piotr Trochowski willingness to cap for Poland. However, the PZPN was not interested, which disappointed both Trochowski and Piotr Trochowski mother, and Piotr Trochowski chose to play for Germany. My heart is closer to Poland, but nobody there was interested in me, so I play for the Germans. There was no reply to my mother's letter, and the Germans were interested in me - said Piotr Trochowski in an interview in August 2005.
