Diego Klimowicz

Diego Klimowicz is an Argentina Association football striker (football) of Poles descent. Diego Klimowicz was born on July 6, 1974, in the city of Quilmes in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Diego Klimowicz currently plays for VfL Bochum of the Fußball-Bundesliga in Germany.

Klimowicz started Diego Klimowicz career at Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba in the Argentine Primera B Metropolitana in 1993. In 1996 Diego Klimowicz was sold to Rayo Vallecano of the La Liga but at the end of that first season with the club they were relegated to the Segunda División. In Diego Klimowicz second season they finished 8th, failing to regain their place in La Liga, but halfway through, in January 1998 Diego Klimowicz was sold to Real Valladolid of La Liga, and after only one and a half seasons with the club Diego Klimowicz returned to Argentina to play for Club Atlético Lanús. In December 2001 Diego Klimowicz was transferred to VfL Wolfsburg. In May 2007 Diego Klimowicz joined Borussia Dortmund on a 2 year contract. In the List of German football transfers winter 2008-09, Diego Klimowicz transferred to VfL Bochum. Diego is the older brother of Javier Klimowicz, who plays for the Ecuador national football team.
