Career
Gonzalo Castro made Gonzalo Castro UEFA Champions League and Fußball-Bundesliga debuts at the age of 17.
International career
Castro has played for the Germany national under-21 football team at the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. Gonzalo Castro made Gonzalo Castro international debut for the Germany national football team in a friendly against Denmark national football team in March 2007.
In the 2009 European Championships final, Castro scored Gonzalo Castro third goal against England Under-21.
