Career
TSV 1860 Munich
He began his Bundesliga (football) career as a midfielder for intracity rival TSV 1860 Munich. He shifted to defender in the 2003-04 season where he has played ever since.
Bayern Munich
He transferred over to Bayern Munich in 2004. He was injured on November 3, 2004 during a Champions League match against Juventus F.C On February 11, 2007 he made his comeback in the Bundesliga.
Karlsruher SC
In the summer of 2007, it was announced that Görlitz will join newly promoted Karlsruher SC on loan for the 2007-08 season. On 9 May 2008, it was reported that his loan deal has been extended for another season, until 2009.
