Alejandro Gómez (born February 15 1988 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentina football (soccer) midfielder. He currently plays for Arsenal de Sarandí of the Primera Division Argentina.

Alejandro Gómez (born February 15 1988 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentina football (soccer) midfielder. He currently plays for Arsenal de Sarandí of the Primera Division Argentina.
Gómez has been playing for Arsenal since 2003, although he had to wait until the Apertura 2006 tournament to become a first team regular. He made 15 appearances and scored 2 goals in the tournament, helping Arsenal to claim a 5th place finish. Gómez is a dynamic attacking midfielder who is renowned for his skill, high work-rate and powerful long range goals.
In 2007 Gómez was picked to represent the Argentina national under-20 football team team at the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay. Later that year he was part of the Argentina squad that won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.
Gómez scored two of the most important goals of his career on November 30 2007 in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana 2007 final against Club América to give Arsenal a valuable 3-2 lead going into the second leg.
