Diego Buonanotte

Diego Mario Buonanotte Rende (born 19 April, 1988 in Teodolina, Santa Fe Province), is an Argentina Football (soccer) currently playing for Club Atlético River Plate. The diminutive attacking midfielder made Diego Buonanotte debut as a 17-year old on 9 April, 2006 in the win against Instituto de Córdoba (3-1).

In October 7, 2007, only one week after coming on as a substitute, Diego Buonanotte scored Diego Buonanotte first goal at senior level. Buonanotte was picked by coach Daniel Passarella to start in the El Superclásico against Club Atletico Boca Juniors. Club Atlético River Plate won 2-0, with Buonanotte playing a key role in the victory. Buonanotte has since been a regular starter in the team. Diego Buonanotte was named by World Soccer Magazine as one of the '50 most exciting teenagers in the world game'.

International

Buonanotte was selected by Sergio Batista to be one of the 18 players to represent Argentina in the 2008 Olympics. On Diego Buonanotte debut, starting the third game against Serbia, Diego Buonanotte scored a long-range free-kick.
