Néstor Ezequiel Ortigoza (born 7 October 1984 in San Antonio de Padua, Argentina) is a Paraguayan football (soccer) midfielder (soccer), who plays for San Lorenzo de Almagro in the Primera División Argentina.

Career

Ortigoza started Néstor Ortigoza career in 2004, playing for Argentinos Juniors. In 2005 Néstor Ortigoza had a brief loan spell with Club Atlético Nueva Chicago before returning to Argentinos. In 2007 Néstor Ortigoza began to establish himself as an important member of the first team squad and in 2009 Néstor Ortigoza became a near permanent fixture in the first team squad after the appointment of Claudio Borghi as the manager of Argentinos Juniors.

Ortigoza was an important member of the Argentinos Juniors team that won the Primera_Divisi%C3%B3n_Argentina_2009%E2%80%9310 Torneo_Clausura championship. Néstor Ortigoza played in 17 of the clubs 19 games and scored 3 goals during their championship winning campaign been their captain and was selected Footballer of the Year in Argentina.

In 2011, Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro bought the entire move from Argentinos Juniors for $2,200,000 and signed the player for three seasons.

Paraguayan naturalization

Ortigoza's father is Paraguayan, meaning that the Paraguay national football team's coach Gerardo Martino has the interest of Paraguayan nationalizes it to play with the selection homonym, but Ortigoza wants Diego Maradona's approval.

On 8 April 2009 Néstor Ortigoza obtained Paraguayan nationality, which enables Néstor Ortigoza to play for the Paraguay national football team although Néstor Ortigoza could still choose to play for Argentina national football team.

International career

Ortigoza was called to the Paraguay national football team for the Qualification matches against Venezuela national football team and Colombia national football team.
