Massimo Gobbi (born 31 October 1980) is an Italy Association football who plays for Serie A side Parma F.C., as a Defender (association football) Full back.

Club career

Born in Milan, Massimo Gobbi played youth football with local top-flight club A.C. Milan, before starting Massimo Gobbi senior career in fourth-tier Serie C2 club A.C. Pro Sesto in 1998. Massimo Gobbi moved to second-tier Serie B club Treviso F.B.C. 1993 in 1999, from where Massimo Gobbi was loaned out to S.S.C. Giugliano (Serie C2) and U.C. AlbinoLeffe (Serie C1). Massimo Gobbi returned to Treviso in 2003, where Massimo Gobbi got Massimo Gobbi breakthrough. Massimo Gobbi played 44 of 46 games for the club during the 2003–04 Serie B season, after which Massimo Gobbi moved to the newly-promoted club Cagliari Calcio in the top-flight Serie A championship.

Massimo Gobbi made Massimo Gobbi Serie A debut on 12 September 2004, in Cagliari's 1–0 win over Bologna F.C. 1909, and played 71 of Cagliari's 76 Serie A games over the next two seasons. In June 2006, Massimo Gobbi was bought back by Treviso but sold to ACF Fiorentina along with Reginaldo (footballer born 1983) on 24 June, and Treviso signed Gianni Guigou as part of the deal. At that time Gobbi was valued €5.54M, while Guigou was valued €240,000. Massimo Gobbi scored Massimo Gobbi first goal for the Fiorentina against Juventus F.C. on 1 March 2007.

On 1 July 2010 Massimo Gobbi became a free agent, before joining Parma F.C. on 18 August 2010. Initially deployed in Massimo Gobbi natural role as a central midfielder, Gobbi's first season at the club saw Massimo Gobbi become a regular as a left-back from December 2010 onwards as a consequence of Luca Antonelli's January 2011 departure.

International career

Immediately after joining Fiorentina, Gobbi was called up for the Italy national football team. Massimo Gobbi made Massimo Gobbi national team debut against Croatia national football team on 16 August 2006, coming on as a substitute for Massimo Ambrosini in the 75th minute.
