Marek Jankulovski (born May 9, 1977 in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia, now Czech Republic) is a Czech Republic national football team football (soccer) defender (football) or Midfielder of partial Macedonians (ethnic group) origin. Marek Jankulovski currently plays for A.C. Milan of the Italian Serie A and was voted Czech Player of the Year for the 2007/08 season.

Marek Jankulovski is well known for Marek Jankulovski versatility being able to play anywhere up the left wing. Marek Jankulovski is also known for Marek Jankulovski ability to cross the ball and Marek Jankulovski considerable technical ability.

Career

Before joining Milan, Marek Jankulovski played for FC Baník Ostrava (1994-2000), SSC Napoli (2000-02), and Udinese Calcio (2002-05). Marek Jankulovski made Marek Jankulovski Serie A debut on 1 February 2000 against U.S. Lecce for Napoli.

AC Milan

Jankulovski joined AC Milan from Udinese at the start of the Serie A 2005-06 campaign after having a wonderful season with Udinese. Jankulovski struggled to find form in Marek Jankulovski first season but has been one of Milan's best players during the Serie A 2006-07 season, scoring three goals, including one beautiful 25-yard shot, scored against A.S. Livorno Calcio. On May 23, 2007, Marek Jankulovski took part in 2-1 victory in the final of the UEFA Champions League 2006-07 against Liverpool FC. Marek Jankulovski also scored the second goal of Milan's victory against FC Sevilla in the 2007 UEFA Super Cup held on August 31, 2007 with a wonderful volley following a pass from Andrea Pirlo.

On 28 May 2008, Jankulovski was named "Czech Player of the Year", with Petr Čech coming in second.

International career

For the Czech Republic national football team, Marek Jankulovski played in 2000 European Football Championship, 2004 European Football Championship, UEFA Euro 2008, and the 2006 World Cup.

Marek Jankulovski father, Pando Jankulovski, is an Macedonians (ethnic group) who emigrated to Czechoslovakia from Yugoslavia. Marek's mother is Czechs.
