Giuseppe Favalli biography
Giuseppe Favalli (born January 8 1972 in Orzinuovi, Province of Brescia) is an Italy football (soccer) player at the position of defender (football) who currently plays for AC Milan.
He started his career with then-Serie B squad U.S. Cremonese, where his strong performance resulted in him being signed to S.S. Lazio during the summer of 1992. He eventually became team captain and was a fan favorite. He later played for Internazionale Milano F.C. after joining the club in the summer of 2004. He later was signed by A.C. Milan in a free transfer, and appeared as a substitute late in the 2007 UEFA Champions League Final which saw Milan gain their seventh European Cup in a 2-1 win over Liverpool FC.
He was affectionately nicknamed Favallinho by Milan supporters after he scored his only two goals of the 2006-07 Serie A campaign in back-to-back wins over Empoli F.C. and F.C. Messina Peloro in April 2007.
