Danny Cadamarteri biography

Daniel Leon "Danny" Cadamarteri (born October 12 1979 in Cleckheaton) is an England association football of Italy and Nigerian descent. He plays for Huddersfield Town F.C. in Football League One.

Playing career

Cadamarteri is a product of the Finch Farm and made his debut in the 1996-97 in English football. During the 1997-98 in English football, he was rated as one of the finest young players in the Premier League, but he never lived up to these expectations.

He also had spells at Fulham F.C. (loan), Leeds United A.F.C., Sheffield United F.C. and twice at Bradford City A.F.C..

On 8 December 2006, Cadamarteri signed for Conference National side Grays Athletic F.C. on non-contract terms. Before, Cadamarteri was a free agent after ending a six-month drug ban imposed towards the end of last season during his second spell at Bradford City.

On 12 December 2006, Cadamarteri was handed a trial at Football League Championship side Leicester City F.C.. He signed for the club on 28 December until the end of the season. Cadamarteri scored his first goal for Leicester on 6 January 2007 in an FA Cup third round match against Fulham F.C. to earn City a replay at Craven Cottage. On 16 March 2007, he agreed to join Doncaster Rovers F.C. on loan for one month. He was recalled on 14 April 2007 after a brief loan spell scoring a one goal. He was released by Leicester in May 2007.

He signed for Huddersfield Town F.C. on 1 June 2007. On 10 August he suffered a hamstring strain in traning which forced him to miss the first two league games of the season which both finished 1–0 to Town. After an agonisingly long wait he made his Terriers debut as a substitute in their 3–0 loss at Northampton Town F.C. on 22 September 2007. The following week, he scored his first goal for the Terriers in their 2–0 win against Luton Town F.C. at the Galpharm Stadium. Three days later he was sent off in a match against Nottingham Forest F.C. after he scored to give Town the lead. He received a second yellow card for overcelebrating his goal. The match finished 1–1. Most of his Town career has been hampered by injuries. His last match for Town was their 4–0 loss against Cadamarteri's former club Leeds in December 2007. His return from injury came in Town's first league game of the new season in a 1–1 draw against Stockport County F.C. on August 9, 2008.
