Hasney Aljofree

Hasney Aljofree (born July 11 1978) is a Defender (football) for the England league club Swindon Town F.C..

Biography

Aljofree started his career at Bolton Wanderers where he made 22 first team appearances scoring 3 goals before being transferred to Scottish Premier League side Dundee United managed at the time by Paul Sturrock. Over the next couple of years he put in impressive performances and was bought to English Football League Second Division side Plymouth Argyle, again by Sturrock.
During the 2004-05 in English football he moved on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, again managed by Sturrock, and many thought that the manager would sign Aljofree again permanently. After just 2 appearances for Wednesday he picked up an injury and returned to Argyle. He has since continued to make regular starts for Plymouth Argyle and captained the side during a pre-season friendly against Real Madrid in 2006.

He appeared he had picked up a serious injury after 31 minutes of an away game against Southampton F.C. on 16 September and left the field on a stretcher with a neck brace. It was soon announced that he had been taken to hospital, and announced that he had suffered no injury at all.

Aljofree is set to begin his fourth spell with manager Paul Sturrock by signing for Swindon Town.

On July 29th 2007, Paul Sturrock confirmed Hasney Aljofree will be the Swindon Town team captain.
