Playing career
Early career
Born in Redditch, Craddock started Jody Craddock career at non-league Christchurch F.C. before earning a move to third tier Cambridge United F.C. in August 1993 on a free transfer (soccer). Jody Craddock made Jody Craddock league debut on 11 December 1993 in a 0–0 draw with Stockport County F.C..
Sunderland
After four seasons at Cambridge, Jody Craddock talent was noted by Sunderland A.F.C. and Jody Craddock joined for £300,000 in August 1997. Jody Craddock second season with the Mackems saw Jody Craddock help them to promotion to the top level, however, Jody Craddock ended up spending part of their first Premier League campaign on loan at Sheffield United F.C..
Wolverhampton Wanderers
When Sunderland were relegated after four seasons in the Premier League in 2003, Craddock was sold to newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. for £1.75million to replace Joleon Lescott at centre back. Jody Craddock has remained with the club since and was made captain (football) at the start of the 2006–07 season by new manager Mick McCarthy. Jody Craddock found himself sent to Stoke City F.C. on loan in August 2007 though, but this spell was cut short through the emergency 24 hour clause the following month.
Jody Craddock 2008-09 season was interrupted when Jody Craddock broke a metatarsal in Jody Craddock foot in just the second league game, ruling Jody Craddock out for several months. After months of rehabilitation, Craddock was on the verge of a loan move, however injuries and loans meant that Jody Craddock stayed with the club. After a poor run of form for Richard Stearman, Craddock found himself once again in Wolves first team, where Jody Craddock remained as the side went on to win the division and a return to the Premier League. Jody Craddock lifted the Football League Championship trophy after the final game against .
Jody Craddock is signed to the club until Summer 2010.
