Carl Ikeme
Carl Ikeme (born June 8, 1986, Sutton Coldfield, England) is a Association football, who plays as a Goalkeeper (football) for Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.. Despite his English birthplace, he has chosen to represent Nigeria national football team at international level. He has been called up to the Nigeria national football team squad but has not yet played for them.

He has been called up to the Nigeria national football team squad but has not yet played for them.
Career
Ikeme progressed through Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. academy and made the first team squad in the 2003/04 season with the club in the Premier League. Due to Matt Murray's injury, he was promoted to the substitutes' bench for a string of games but never played.
He finally made his debut in the Football League Cup on 23 August 2005, in a 5-1 thumping of Chester City F.C.. However, although often on the bench, he had to wait until 26 August 2006 for his first league appearance for the club, as a late substitute in a 1-0 win over Luton Town F.C..
He has also made league appearances for both Accrington Stanley F.C. and Stockport County F.C. during loan periods.
The goalkeeper suffered a knee injury during the 2006/07 season and had to undergo surgery, which kept him out of contention until late 2007. After recovering, he was an unused substitute at times, but was largely only employed in reserve team fixtures. He made his full league debut for Wolves on 27 September 2008 in a 2-0 win over , deputising for regular goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, who had been sent off the previous weekend in Wolves' 3-1 win over . Ikeme returned to the team for Wolves' game against on October 4 2008 replacing Hennessey, who had been dropped after a mistake in the 3-0 defeat to . Ikeme was again selected to start in preference to Wayne Hennesy for the game against on October 18 2008 and produced what was arguably a 'man of the match' display in their 2-1 victory.
