David "Dave" Brammer (born 28 February 1975 in Bromborough) is an England professional football (soccer) currently on the books of Millwall although he has recently been told he is surpless to requirements at The New Den which has led to trials at Crewe Alex and currently Chester City, as he looks to move back closer to his North West routes.
Brammer started his career at Wales side Wrexham A.F.C. before moving to Port Vale F.C. during the 1998/99 season on transfer deadline day for an initial fee of £350,000. Brammer, whose father was born in Burslem, helped Port Vale to escape relegation from the Football League First Division and was handed the club captaincy for the 1999/2000 season. However, he was unable to prevent Vale from being relegated the following year.
Nonetheless, Brammer remained an important part of the Vale side which won the LDV Vans Trophy in 2001 and in the summer of that year, he made the short journey to Crewe Alexandra F.C., who paid Vale £500,000 for his services on the eve of the 2001/02 football season.
In the summer of 2004, he returned to the Potteries to join Stoke City under freedom of contract.
On 29th January 2007 he signed for Millwall F.C. on a free transfer.
