Miles Addison biography
Miles Vivien Esifi Addison (born 7 January 1989 in Newham, England) is an English people association football, playing for Derby County F.C. in the Coca Cola Championship.
Although he made his debut for the club in the role of centre-back, he is generally considered to be a midfielder. Addison was born in London but moved to Nottingham at the age of 3, where he was spotted by Derby, firstly as a central midfielder.
Career
He has played consistently for the youth team and played three times for Derby County's first team, twice during the 2005-06 in English football season in Football League Championship and once on the penultimate day of the Premier League 2007-08 season away to Blackburn Rovers F.C..
Addison played his first game of the 08-09 season in a Football League Cup third round tie against Preston North End F.C. at Deepdale on 26 August 2008. Addison played in his preferred position of centre midfield for the first time and impressed enough to earn a place in the subsequent game away at Barnsley F.C.. He was then put in the starting line up against Sheffield United F.C , he put in a performance which impressed every Derby fan and got a man of the match award after a brilliant performance live on Sky. Miles started once again away at Swansea City a game in which Derby County got a 1-1 draw, his performance was good. In his second home start against Cardiff City Miles performed below par, as did most of the team, and despite still being decent conceeded a penalty which allowed Cardiff to equalize, the match ended 1-1. Miles also shows shades of quality from outside the box as his 30 yard shot which crashed off the bar in the 2-0 victory over QPR showed.
Miles's brother Christian has represented England at American football.
