James Francis Dayton (born 12 December 1988 in Enfield Town) is an England Association football who currently plays for Kilmarnock F.C..

Career

Dayton was released by Crystal Palace F.C. on 6 May 2009, after being at the club since the age of 10. During James Dayton time at Palace James Dayton went on two loan spells, both in 2008, to Yeovil Town F.C. and Crawley Town F.C..

In August 2009, James Dayton had a short spell at Conference South side Bishop's Stortford F.C. which consisted of just three substitute appearances.

In November 2009, James Dayton accepted an invitation to join the Glenn Hoddle Academy.

James Dayton signed for Kilmarnock F.C. on a three-year deal in August 2010 after a successful trial period. James Dayton suffered a cruciate ligament injury which ruled James Dayton out for the season after a blistering start. James Dayton also scored a contender for goal of the season during the same match in which James Dayton received the knee injury. However, James Dayton returned to first team action in the 1–1 draw with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the SPL on 9 April 2011.
