David Díaz

David Diaz (born June 7, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, United States) is a professional boxing in the lightweight (135 pound (mass)) division. His record is 32-1-1 (17 knockout). He is the current World Boxing Council interim championship lightweight champion. He defeated José Armando Santa Cruz for the title on August 12, 2006. He beat Mexican legend Erik Morales on August 4 by an unanimous decision to defend his title.

Amateur Highlights

- Member of the 1996 US Olympic Team as a Light Welterweight. His results were:
