Nicky Hunt biography
Nicholas "Nicky" Hunt (born September 3, 1983 in Westhoughton, near Bolton, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom) is an England football (soccer) who plays Fullback (football) for Bolton Wanderers F.C.. He wears the number 2 shirt for the club.
A Bolton supporter since his schooldays, Hunt achieved his dream of becoming a professional footballer when he made his debut for his favourite club as a substitute for Colin Hendry in the First Division match against Sheffield United F.C. on the final day of the 2000-01 in English football, shortly before Bolton won promotion to FA Premier League.
He had to wait some time for further first team opportunities, only playing in two FA Cup ties (against Sunderland F.C. in January 2003) before making his breakthrough at the start of the 2003-04 in English football when he became a key part of the defence and a first-team regular for Bolton. His Premiership début came in the 4-0 defeat at Manchester United F.C. on August 16, 2003. He has now made over ninety appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
Hunt won nine England national under-21 football team cap (sport), the first coming in February 2004 against the Netherlands national under-21 football team.
On Thursday 30th August 2007, Hunt signed a new four year contract with Bolton, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2010/11 season.
