Albin Ekdal

Albin Ekdal (born 28 July 1989 in Bromma, Stockholm) is a Sweden Association football who currently plays as an Midfielder Attacking midfielder for A.C. Siena.

Football career

Albin Ekdal started Albin Ekdal professional playing career with IF Brommapojkarna at the beginning of the 2007 Allsvenskan season. Albin Ekdal is a young player currently playing for Juventus first squad for the Serie A 2008-09. Albin Ekdal plays mainly as a Right Winger but also as an Attacking Midfielder or Right Midfielder.

On May 23, 2008, Albin Ekdal signed an official 4-year contract with Juventus. Ekdal turned down offers from big clubs like Chelsea F.C. and F.C. Internazionale Milano when Albin Ekdal was just 16 and 17 years old because Albin Ekdal father, the Swedish journalist Lennart Ekdal said Albin Ekdal had to finish high school first. Albin Ekdal made Albin Ekdal Serie A debut on October 18, 2008 in the 1-2 defeat against S.S.C. Napoli when Albin Ekdal came on as a substitute in the 75th minute, replacing Christian Poulsen.

Together with the likes of Claudio Marchisio, Sebastian Giovinco, Paolo De Ceglie, and Lorenzo Ariaudo, Ekdal is considered to be playing a key role in the future of Juventus F.C. Albin Ekdal has been compared to Swedish compatriot Fredrik Ljungberg for Albin Ekdal tough natured attacking style and is not afraid to chase the ball and play aggressively. On 15 July 2009 A.C. Siena have signed the Swedish midfielder on loan from Juventus F.C for a season.
