Jonathan Soriano

Jonathan Soriano Casas (born September 24, 1985 in El Pont de Vilomara, Barcelona (province)) is a Spain Association footballer who is currently unattached. Jonathan Soriano plays as a Forward (football).

Football career

Having emerged through RCD Espanyol's youth ranks, Soriano made Jonathan Soriano debut with the first team during La Liga 2002–03, on December 1, 2002, playing one minute in a 3–1 home win against Rayo Vallecano, while still registered with RCD Espanyol B (not being admitted as a fulltime first-team member until La Liga 2005-06).

Jonathan Soriano spent the second halves of that season and La Liga 2006-07 serving Segunda División loan stints, after which Jonathan Soriano returned to Catalonia, netting twice in 24 appearances during La Liga 2007–08 (incidentally in both 1–0 wins over Getafe CF).

In late January 2009, Soriano moved again on loan (and in the second level), joining Albacete Balompié until the end of Segunda División 2008–09, and being released by the Catalonians after this spell, Jonathan Soriano contract not having been renewed.
