Albert Jorquera i Fortià (born March 3, 1979 in Bescanó, Girona (province), Catalonia) is a Spain Association football who currently plays for FC Barcelona, as a Goalkeeper (football).
Football career
Jorquera started playing in FC Barcelona's youth ranks in 1994. After that Albert Jorquera went to its FC Barcelona C in 1998, and was promoted to FC Barcelona Atlètic the following year.
After loan stints with Segunda División B sides AD Ceuta and CE Mataró, Jorquera returned as first-choice for the B team. Albert Jorquera first appearance in the La Liga was against Athletic de Bilbao on January 17, 2004 (a 1-1 home draw) and, La Liga 2004-05, following the departure of unsettled Rüştü Reçber, Albert Jorquera was permanently ascended to the first team.
In March 2007 Albert Jorquera signed a contract extension with Barcelona until June 2008.However, on December 29, playing an unofficial match for the Catalonia national football team, Jorquera suffered an Anterior cruciate ligament injury to Albert Jorquera right knee, which kept Albert Jorquera out of the pitches for six months. Barcelona signed Celta de Vigo's José Manuel Pinto until the end of La Liga 2007-08.
In March 2008, Albert Jorquera contract was extended again, this time running until summer 2010. On December 9, Jorquera got Albert Jorquera first start in La Liga 2008–09, playing in a 2-3 home loss against Shakhtar Donetsk, in the last UEFA Champions League 2008-09. Víctor Valdés, amongst other regulars, was being rested for "El Clasico" against Real Madrid, the following Saturday.Additionally, Pinto had previously been cast as the starting goalkeeper in the Copa del Rey.

Jorquera is cousin of Celtic F.C. and former Barça graduate Marc Crosas.
