Aitor Ocio Carrión (born 28 November 1976) is a Spain Association football who plays for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, as a Defender (association football) Centre back.

Club career

Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava, Ocio made Aitor Ocio Carrión debuts in La Liga with CA Osasuna during 2000–01 La Liga, after Segunda División spells with SD Eibar and Albacete Balompié, then came to prominence with Basque Country (autonomous community) side Athletic Bilbao.

Aitor Ocio Carrión would then join Sevilla FC on a three-year deal, playing a somewhat important part on a squad that won four titles (one Copa del Rey, two UEFA Europa League and one UEFA Super Cup) in two seasons. During Aitor Ocio Carrión four-year spell, Aitor Ocio Carrión was the Andalusian's Captain (association football), behind Javi Navarro, and had a best personal output of 23 matches and two goals during 2005–06 La Liga.

In mid-July 2007, Ocio returned to Bilbao, playing 27 matches during 2007–08 La Liga, as the Basques finished mid-table. Aitor Ocio Carrión produced similar numbers in 2008–09 La Liga, adding a rare goal at former club Osasuna, albeit in a 1–2 away defeat, in which Aitor Ocio Carrión was also Ejection (sports), one of five ejections Aitor Ocio Carrión collected in Aitor Ocio Carrión first two years combined.

Ocio also begun the 2009–10 La Liga in the starting XI. However, after an injury suffered in early October 2009, Aitor Ocio Carrión missed the rest of the season, with Athletic finishing eighth, adding just five official games in 2010–11 La Liga also due to persistent physical problems, but renewing Aitor Ocio Carrión contract on 23 May 2011.

35-year old Ocio was deemed surplus to requirements at Athletic in 2011–12 La Liga after the appointment of manager Marcelo Bielsa, alongside teammates Koikili Lertxundi and Iban Zubiaurre. Aitor Ocio Carrión remained with the team however.
