Dean Lewington

Dean Scott Lewington (born 18 May 1984 in Kingston upon Thames, London) is a Association football player who plays predominantly at left back for Milton Keynes Dons F.C. where Dean Lewington is currently captain (association football). Dean Lewington is the son of former Fulham F.C. manager Ray Lewington.

Dean Scott Lewington (born 18 May 1984 in Kingston upon Thames, London) is a Association football player who plays predominantly at left back for Milton Keynes Dons F.C. where Dean Lewington is currently captain (association football). Dean Lewington is the son of former Fulham F.C. manager Ray Lewington.

Career

Lewington made Dean Lewington Wimbledon F.C. first team debut towards the end of the 2002–03 in English football season as a substitute in the 4–2 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday F.C. after coming through the Youth ranks, and was voted Player of the Year just over one year later after a succession of impressive performances saw Dean Lewington stake Dean Lewington claim as the first choice left back.

Wimbledon were rebranded as Milton Keynes Dons F.C. in 2004. As of 2011, Lewington is one of only two former Wimbledon players remaining at MK Dons, the other being Goalkeeper David Martin (footballer born 1986).

Standing at 5"11 'Lewie' weighs in at , and received the MK Dons captaincy after the departure of Keith Andrews (footballer) to Blackburn Rovers in August 2008. On 21 March 2011, Lewington lead Dean Lewington team to a 1-0 victory over promotion rivals Peterborough United, which continued The Dons' fine form with 5 wins on the spin, before MK were then knocked out of the play-offs by Peterborough United.
