Neil Ashton biography
Neil Ashton (born 15 April1985 in Liverpool) is an England football (soccer) who currently plays for Football League Two club Shrewsbury Town F.C.. He typically plays as fullback (football), but occasionally acts as a midfielder. He wears the number 3 shirt for the club.
He began his career as a trainee with Tranmere Rovers F.C., but made only one substitute appearance for the club before he joined Shrewsbury on loan in December 2004. In mid-2005 the loan was made permanent. He has now made more than 100 appearances for the club. In July 2007 he signed a new two-year contract, keeping him with the Shrews until at least summer 2009.
He is dating the current Miss Liverpool, Natalie Daly and they got engaged in the summer of 2006 in the Dominican Republic.
