Kelvin Jack biography
Kelvin Jack (born 29 April, 1976) is a Trinidad and Tobago football (soccer) goalkeeper who currently plays for Gillingham F.C..
Jack started his career in English football with Reading F.C. in 2004, but did not make any appearances for the club. Jack was later sold to Scottish Premier League team Dundee F.C., where he stayed despite their relegation to the Scottish First Division.
In 2006, Jack was called up to the Trinidad and Tobago national football team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. He was expected to play in their first game against Sweden national football team, but was injured in the warm up, enabling Shaka Hislop to step in. He did, however, play in the Soca Warriors' final world cup game against Paraguay national football team which ended 2-0 with Gillingham player Brent Sancho scoring an own goal. Following the World Cup, Jack himself signed for Gillingham and made his debut in the 2-1 home win over Huddersfield Town on 5 August. Due to injury, however, he has thus far been restricted to just nine appearances for the Gills.
