Doncaster

Despite only scoring three goals in 31 league appearances throughout the 2005–06 season, Guy's pace and dribbling ability made Lewis Guy a handful for any defence, which helped Lewis Guy form an effective striking partnership with Paul Heffernan during the first half of the season.

The 2007–08 season seemed to bring a change to Guy's play, as Lewis Guy started to weigh in with vital goals and impressive performances, finishing the season with 8 goals in all competitions, Lewis Guy best in a season to date. Despite scoring the winning goal in the opening game of the 2008–9 season against Derby County F.C. and the opening goal in the following match against Cardiff City F.C., Lewis Guy struggled to continue Lewis Guy positive start to the season and failed to score another goal for Doncaster. In early 2009, Guy spent a month's loan spell at Hartlepool United F.C., but Lewis Guy struggled to make an impact at Victoria Park, and was sent back to Doncaster after Lewis Guy picked up an injury.

Oldham Athletic

Milton Keynes Dons

On 19 May 2010 Guy joined Football League One outfit Milton Keynes Dons F.C. on a free transfer, following Lewis Guy release by Doncaster. Lewis Guy signed a two-year contract.
