Nicky Francis Bailey (born 10 June 1984) is an English people professional Association football player currently playing for Middlesbrough F.C. Nicky Bailey has also played for the England C national football team.

Club career

Bailey, born in Hammersmith, began Nicky Bailey career with local team Fulham F.C. but was released and moved to non-league football Sutton United F.C. where Nicky Bailey played as a teenager. At twenty, Nicky Bailey went to Conference National side Barnet F.C. in 2004 for a tribunal fee of £10,000. Bailey was Paul Fairclough's first signing as Barnet manager, and Nicky Bailey immediately established himself as a regular for the club.

Bailey made Nicky Bailey Barnet debut against Farnborough Town F.C. in a 0–0 draw in the Football Conference on 17 August 2004, and scored Nicky Bailey first goal for the club on 4 September 2004 in a 5–1 win against Morecambe F.C.. Nicky Bailey helped the club to promotion in the 2004-05 in English football season and then establish itself in Football League Two over the following two years. Bailey had a difficult start as a Middlesbrough player, however under new manager Tony Mowbray, Bailey was converted to a more defensive minded midfielder and became popular with the fans.

Bailey scored Nicky Bailey first goal for Middlesbrough against Burnley F.C. on 10 September 2011.

International career

Bailey was picked to play for the England C national football team, by Paul Fairclough when Nicky Bailey was also manager of Barnet. Nicky Bailey made 4 appearances before moving into the Football League, which meant Nicky Bailey could no longer take part.
