Alex Russell
Alexander John Russell (born 17 March 1973 in Crosby) is an England professional football (soccer)er who currently plays for Cheltenham Town F.C. as a central midfielder. His father, also called Alex, played professionally for Southport F.C..

Alexander John Russell (born 17 March 1973 in Crosby) is an England professional football (soccer)er who currently plays for Cheltenham Town F.C. as a central midfielder. His father, also called Alex, played professionally for Southport F.C..
In January 2008 Russell joined Football League One side Cheltenham Town F.C. on a one month loan. On 31st January, Russell's loan was extended to the end of the season. He signed permanently for Cheltenham Town F.C. on 17 June 2008 after he was released by Bristol City F.C.
