Bruno Berner
Bruno Georg Berner (born November 21, 1977) is a Swiss people football (soccer), who is currently playing for Leicester City F.C., after being released by Blackburn Rovers. Berner plays predominantly as a Left Back, but can also be deployed in other roles, such as Central defence, and Left Midfield.

Career
He has spent most of his career playing for Grasshopper-Club Zürich, SC Freiburg, and FC Basel
Berner moved to Blackburn Rovers F.C. for a nominal fee from FC Basel on January 30, 2007. He was given the squad number 25. On February 10, 2007 he played his first Premiership match for Blackburn, in a 1-0 defeat to Everton F.C.. He made his second start against Manchester City on December 27, 2007. He was released from his contract on May 19, 2008, along with fellow Switzerland defender Stéphane Henchoz.
On 3 July 2008, Berner joined English Championship side Norwich City F.C. on trial, joining up with the squad for pre-season training, however he failed to gain a contract.
On September 12 2008, Berner joined Leicester City F.C. on a 3 year contract and was handed the number 31 shirt, making his debut in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy match against Lincoln City F.C. on 23 September, winning 3-1 on Penalty shootout (football).
International career
He played for Switzerland national football team and was a participant at the 2004 UEFA European Championship.
