James Simmonds (b. 3 December 1987 in Hammersmith, London ) is a footballer currently playing for Chelsea F.C] as a left-sided midfielder.
Simmonds came through the youth academy at Chelsea F.C. and played several games for the reserves but failed to fully establish himself. He signed for Cardiff City F.C] on loan on 16 January 2007 until May 2007 but did not make a senior team appearance for the club instead spending his loan playing in the teams reserves.[as a former England youth international but has opted to play for the Republic of Ireland Under 19s [s currently on trial at QPR, and has recently participated in the friendly between Queens Park Rangers FC and Harrow Borough FC.
