Sam Hutchinson

Samuel Edward "Sam" Hutchinson (born 3 August 1989 in Slough, Berkshire) is an England professional association football who is currently a Defender (football) Full back for Chelsea F.C.. Sam Hutchinson has featured regularly for the Chelsea Chelsea F.C. Reserves and Youth Team.

A right-back who first joined the Chelsea Academy at nine, Hutchinson is in Sam Hutchinson third year full-time at Chelsea. Sam Hutchinson turned professional in August 2006 and made Sam Hutchinson first appearance for the England national under-18 football team in March 2007. Also able to play at centre-back, Hutchinson was also the second highest appearance maker in the Chelsea's youth team last season.

Hutchinson made Sam Hutchinson first senior team appearance for Chelsea on May 13, 2007 in a Premier League encounter with Everton F.C.. Sam Hutchinson was then taken on the first team tour of the United States, prior to the 2007–08 and 2009-10 seasons.

On August 20 2007, Hutchinson signed a new four-year contract, keeping Sam Hutchinson at Stamford Bridge (stadium) until 2011. Sam Hutchinson was named England national under-19 football team captain ahead of the friendly with Germany national football team on November 14, 2007.

On July 18 2009, Hutchinson made a sub appearance in a pre-season game against Seattle Sounders F.C., Sam Hutchinson came on for Ashley Cole in the second half. On July 26, 2009, Sam Hutchinson started for Chelsea against Club America.
