Domagoj Vida (born 29 April 1989 in Osijek) is a Croatian footballer playing for GNK Dinamo Zagreb. Domagoj Vida can play in both Football (soccer) positions Centre Back (CB) and right Football (soccer) positions Full-back/Right-back/Left-back (FB/RB/LB) positions.

Career

Vida has spent Domagoj Vida entire youth career in NK Osijek, rising through the youth system and being first featured with the senior team in the 2006–2007 season, at the age of 17; Domagoj Vida then went on to make 10 appearances in the season. In the 2007–2008 season, Vida further solidified Domagoj Vida credentials, being featured more regularly for Domagoj Vida club. Domagoj Vida was linked with Croatian champions GNK Dinamo Zagreb. However on 29 April 2010, Domagoj Vida signed for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Germany.

During Domagoj Vida first season with Leverkusen, Domagoj Vida mainly played in the UEFA Europa League, making a total of 8 appearances in the competition. Domagoj Vida eventually made Domagoj Vida Fußball-Bundesliga debut on 5 March 2011 in a 3–0 win at home to VfL Wolfsburg, coming on as a substitute for the injured Manuel Friedrich in the 14th minute.

On 14 June 2011, it was announced that Vida will join GNK Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee.

International career

Vida is also an active member of the Croatia national under-21 football team.

On 23 May 2010, Domagoj Vida made Domagoj Vida full international debut in Croatia national football team's 2–0 win against Wales national football team in Osijek, coming on as a substitute for Darijo Srna in the 75th minute. Three days later, Domagoj Vida played the full 90 minutes in a goalless draw at Estonia national football team.
