Club career
Kerlon is a striker known for his ability to flick the ball up onto his head and run with it during matches, which is known as the seal dribble. He scored his first professional goal on February 25, 2007 in a match against Ituiutaba Esporte Clube, which Cruzeiro won 4-1.
He signed for Chievo Verona on September 1, 2008.
International career
Kerlon was the top scorer and South American Under 17 Football Championship Best Players (Named by CONMEBOL) at the 2005 South American Under 17 Football Championship.
