Renan Brito

Renan Brito Soares or simply Renan (born January 24, 1985 in Viamão), is a Brazilian Football (soccer) positions Goalkeeper. Renan Brito currently plays for Xerez CD on loan from Valencia CF.

Career

Renan made Renan Brito professional debut for Sport Club Internacional against Esporte Clube Juventude in the Campeonato Gaúcho in a 1-0 win on April 3, 2005.

Valencia

On August 13, 2008, Renan joined Spanish club Valencia CF. Renan Brito made Renan Brito debut for Valencia CF in a 3-0 win against Real Mallorca. Renan Brito has had a great start to Renan Brito Valencia CF career and has been their number one keeper, but on 20 January 2009 Renan Brito sustained a groin injury in a match against Athletic de Bilbao and was ruled out for six weeks, enabling veteran César Sánchez to step in. After recovering from Renan Brito injury Renan Brito remained on the bench till the end of the 2008-09 season owing to Cesar's fine form, and following the close season signing of Miguel Àngel Moyà from Real Mallorca the Brazilian faces an uncertain future at the Mestalla.

Xerez

On 27 July 2009 Xerez CD have signed the Brazilian goalkeeper on loan from Valencia CF.

International career

Renan was a member of Brazil Olympic football team's team for the Football at the 2008 Summer Olympics, Renan Brito was the first-choice goalkeeper for the tournament, appearing in all matches as Brazil went on to get the bronze medal.
