At Fremantle, Anderson is most remembered for the fight he had with Tony Modra over the No 6 guernsey. When Modra arrived from Adelaide Football Club at the beginning of the 1999 season, the glamour superstar full forward wanted to remain in the No 6 guernsey that he had worn with great success throughout his junior and senior days. In the end Modra gave Anderson $200 worth of clothing in exchange for the No 6 guernsey.
