Robert Snodgrass

Robert Snodgrass (born 7 September, 1987 in Glasgow) is a Scotland Association football who plays as a striker for Leeds United A.F.C.. Snodgrass can also play as a left winger.

Snodgrass started his career at Livingston F.C., scoring 15 goals in 79 games. Internationally, he has played for the Scotland national under-19 football team team. He was part of the squad that reached the final of the 2006 European Under-19 Football Championship.

Before Snodgrass turned professional, he was offered a move to Blackburn Rovers F.C., though he chose to stay with Livingston. He moved to Stirling Albion F.C. on 30 January 2007, on loan for the remainder of the 2006-07 in Scottish football.

Snodgrass rejected a new contract with Livingston at the end of the 2007–08 season and signed for Leeds United on 24 July, 2008 for an undisclosed fee based on compensation due to his age. Snodgrass so far has had a positive impact since joining Leeds, in his first pre season match, he claimed 2 assists whilst in his competitive debut against Scunthorpe, Snodgrass's freekick set up Enoch Showunmi. Snodgrass scored his first Leeds United goal against Chester City in the first round of the league cup, Snodgrass charged 60+ yards to cooly slot home a cross from the left. Later that game Snodgrass set up Andy Robinson for goal number 4 and Jermaine Beckford for goal number 5. He has been a Gem in a Leeds side, that also features Scottish Counterparts, Peter Sweeney, Alan Martin and 37 year old Defender Paul Telfer.
He scored once in the Carling Cup third round tie against Hartlepool after 14 minutes as Leeds went on to win 3-2.
