Daryl 'Tank' Smylie (born September 10, 1985 in Portadown) is a Northern Ireland football (soccer).
He, a midfielder, emerged from Newcastle United F.C.'s Youth Academy. However, he failed to make any first team appearances at Newcastle.
In the 2005/06 season, Smylie has spent time Loan (football), playing for Darlington F.C. and Stockport County F.C., where he made his league debut.
In the 2006-07 in Scottish football, Smylie joined Scottish First Division club Livingston F.C. on a free transfer (soccer) where he has made a number of first team appearances. He has also been a member of Roy Millar's Northern Ireland U-21 squads.
He gets the nickname "tank" due to his large muscular physique. Also has turned out this season guesting for local side Killicomaine Blues FC, Northern Ireland.
Currently playing for Ljungskile SK in the Swedish premier division ("Allsvenskan") where he arrived on a free transfer from Swedish Division 1 club Ostersund FK.
