Adam Hammill biography


Adam James Hammill (born 25 January 1988 in Liverpool, England) is an English association football who currently plays for Liverpool F.C.. Adam Hammill can play on either Midfielder Winger or behind the striker.

Early career

Hammill was born in in Liverpool and was a member of the Liverpool F.C. Reserves at Liverpool, and after appearing for the youth and reserves teams, Adam Hammill was promoted to Melwood on a full-time basis.

Hammill was part of the Liverpool team that defeated Manchester City F.C. in the 2005–06 in English football FA Youth Cup final.

On 18 January 2007, Adam Hammill completed a move to Scottish side Dunfermline Athletic F.C., until the end of the season, re-uniting with Adam Hammill former teammate Calum Woods. Adam Hammill played eighteen games for Dunfermline, including the 2007 Scottish Cup Final.

On 12 July, Hammill joined Southampton F.C. on a season-long loan, following interest from Celtic F.C. and other English clubs.

On 18 July 2008, Hammill signed a new three-year contract at Liverpool; later that day it was announced that Adam Hammill would go on a six-month loan to Blackpool F.C. to gain more first team experience. Adam Hammill made Adam Hammill debut for the Seasiders on 9 August in a 1–0 home defeat to Bristol City F.C.. Adam Hammill scored Adam Hammill first goal for the Seasiders on 16 November in the West Lancashire derby 3–1 defeat to Preston North End F.C. at Bloomfield Road. After a successful loan spell Adam Hammill returned to Liverpool on 30 December, where Rafael Benítez would decide whether or not Hammill would return to Bloomfield Road. Hammill confirmed that Adam Hammill had "really enjoyed it at Blackpool so if I come back here for six months I will or if Adam Hammill wants me to stay at Liverpool I will. This is an ideal place for me and I'm enjoying my football here."

Adam Hammill moved to Barnsley on loan until the end of the season on 1 February 2009. Adam Hammill scored Adam Hammill first league goal against Plymouth Argyle F.C. on 3 May 2009.

International career

Along with teammates Craig Lindfield and Paul Anderson (footballer), Hammill was called up for the England national under-19 football team in 2006, and scored Adam Hammill first Under-19 international goal in the win against Switzerland in November 2006.
