Career
Ross had spells as a youth player at Dundee United F.C. and Forfar Athletic F.C.. He then moved to Camelon Juniors F.C., where he featured in their 1996 Scottish Junior Cup run, before losing in the final. He joined Clyde F.C. in 1999, and he never looked back. He played in many different positions, but after a few months, the right-midfield slot was his.
Ross then signed a pre-contractual agreement with Hartlepool.
He transferred to Falkirk, in 2005. Falkirk manager John Hughes (footballer) warned Ross when he stalled on signing a new contract.
On April 30th 2008 it was announced that Ross had signed a pre-contract agreement with current SPL rivals St Mirren and will join them at the end of the season on a deal that will keep him at the Paisley club for two years
