Erik Huseklepp biography
Erik Huseklepp (born September 5 1984 in Bærum) is a Norway Football (soccer) raised in Bergen, Norway, currently playing for SK Brann.
He played in the Norwegian Second Division in the first half of 2005, but was signed by Brann on August 10. He scored nineteen seconds into his first league match as a starter, and subsequently became a first team regular. His father Ingvald Huseklepp played four seasons for SK Brann in the 70's.
In 2006, Huseklepp had a hard time making the first team, only starting 6 games in the Norwegian Premier League and being substituted in all of them. The 2007 season was much the same, with SK Brann coach Mons Ivar Mjelde preferring to use Huseklepp as an impact player, taking on tiring defenders in the closing stages of the game. Erik Huseklepp signalled that he would not sign a new contract with SK Brann, and as he has made himself a name as a flamboyant and technically gifted winger, a number of clubs was interested in signing the player. However, in November 2007 Huseklepp signed a new contract with Brann for three more years.
