Teddy Lucic IPA: 'tɛdʏ 'lʊtɕɪtɕ (born April 15, 1973 in Biskopsgården, Gothenburg) is a Sweden football defender for IF Elfsborg.
He has played 86 times for his Sweden national football team, mostly as a full back, but since 2004 also as a centre back. Lucic played in 2004 UEFA European Football Championship, and the Football World Cup 1994, Football World Cup 2002 and Football World Cup 2006 Football World Cup. Against Germany national football team, in what turned out to be Sweden's final 2006 World Cup match, he was given two Misconduct (football) by Brazilian referee Carlos Simon, and dismissed from the match in the 35th minute.
At club level, Lucic won a Swedish championship with IFK Göteborg in 1996, and has played abroad in Italy, Germany and England.
Due to his multinational background, Lucic had the option to turn out for two other countries - his mother is Finland and his father Croatian. Teddy is fluent in Croatian language and also speaks some Finnish language. He has a summer cottage in Lappeenranta, Finland, and is a fan of Lappeenranta-based first division football team Rakuunat and ice hockey team SaiPa.
