Club Career
Randers FC
Isaah Ahmed was signed by Randers for the 2006/07 season just after the World Cup 2006. Issah Ahmed was not given much playing time during his start in Randers, and rumours heard that he was only signed as an investment to be sold after the World Cup if he played well. However, Ahmed was not in Ghana's starting lineup in any matches in the tournament, although having played the majority of the qualifing matches. This Ahmed described as an act of politic by the Ghanese football association.
Ahmed later gained a place in the starting eleven at Randers being the regular partner of co-centerback Ralf Pedersen.
During this period Ahmed was involved in the first red card given in Danish football caused by raciscm. Ahmed was the victim of Chris Sørensen's (former Randers player and international) verbal assualt. After a tackle by Ahmed and a stop of play Chris Sørensen ran half the yard to tell Ahmed, that "this is Denmark" which was interpreted as an act of racism.
Ahmed was the only one of three local based players at the 2006 World Cup not to get a game for Ghana. He didn’t enjoy a good MTN Africa Cup of Nations in 2006 either, scoring an own-goal in the 2-1 defeat by Zimbabwe.
In the 2008/2009 season Ahmed lost his place in the starting lineup to the new signing Robert Arzumanyan. However Randers signed a new contract with Ahmed in the end of July.
