Martin Retov (born May 5, 1980) is a Denmark professional Football (soccer) player, who currently plays as a central midfielder for Hansa Rostock in the 2. Bundesliga. Martin Retov has played two games for the Denmark national football team. Martin Retov has played more than 200 games for Brøndby IF

Martin Retov started Martin Retov career in the youth teams of Danish clubs Rishøj IF and Køge Boldklub, before Martin Retov made Martin Retov debut for Køge in the second-tier Danish 1st Division league in 1999. Martin Retov was called up for the Denmark national under-21 football team in 2001, which Martin Retov represented in three matches, coming on as a substitute in all three games. In 2002, Køge earned promotion and relegation to the top-flight Danish Superliga 2002-03, but following only one Superliga match for the club Martin Retov was injured in late July. While still recovering, Martin Retov was bought by the defending Danish football champions Brøndby IF.

Martin Retov was one of the first signings of new Brøndby IF coach Michael Laudrup, who played Retov in a centre midfield duo with Morten Wieghorst. Retov quickly became a mainstay in the Brøndby team, and following a successful Danish Superliga 2003-04, Martin Retov debuted for the Danish national team, when Martin Retov came on as a late substitute, replacing Morten Wieghorst against Scotland in a friendly match 1-0 win on 28 April, 2004. Subsequently, Martin Retov was voted Brøndby's 2004 Player of the Year. In the Danish Superliga 2004-05, Retov only missed a single Superliga match, as Brøndby won its 10th championship, and Martin Retov took part in the Danish Cup 2004-05 victory, to complete Brøndby's the Double triumph.

On July 8 2008 Martin Retov joined 2. Bundesliga side Hansa Rostock
