Çaykur Rizespor is a Turkey sports club based in Rize. Çaykur Rizespor is currently playing in the Turkish Premier Super League. Çaykur Rizespor was founded in 1953 in green-yellow colours and had professionalship status in 1968 as Rizespor and changed her names to blue-green. Since 1990, Çaykur Rizespor has been sponsored by the Turkish tea company Çaykur, hence the name and the image of a tea leaf on Çaykur Rizespor's logo. Rizespor's the best season was 1979-80, when was first season of her and she finished 5th the league. Çaykur Rizepor finished 11th first half-time of 2007-2008 season and semifinalist of Fortis Turkey Cup but took one win second half-time and relegated to TFF First League as 17th.
