Racing Club de Ferrol, S.A.D. (founded in 1917) is a Spanish football league teams from the city of ferrolterra, Galicia (Spain) near the port of
A Coruña, in north-western Spain.
The colours of Racing Ferrol have always been green shirts with white shorts, though during the early years of existence they used to have green and white shirts with vertical bands. Racing de Ferrol has played most of its existence in the Segunda División, although they have descended to as low as Tercera División.
History
The history of football (soccer) in Ferrol is associated to the shipbuilding yards, workshops, foundries and dry docks and the United Kingdom technical advisors, hired to work locally who used to play against existing teams. During the late 1800s and early 1900s there were different football teams organized in Ferrol, though only one of them has survived, and as a result of an amalgamation of some other previous teams.
Racing Ferrol Football Club traces its origins back to June 1919, when the final team as it stands today was finally established. These days they play in the Spain
Segunda División B.
In Segunda División B - Group 1 - 2006-07 season, Racing Ferrol gained promotion to Segunda División in the Segunda División Play-Off 2006/07, with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Alicante CF. In the season Segunda División 2007-08 season they were again relegated to the third level.

holds 12,042 and was built in 1993. The pitch dimensions are 105 x 68 metres.
Racing have used three main stadiums over the years, starting with
Campo de Futbol Inferniño, which was utilized until a move to
Estadio Manuel Rivera in 1954 took place. This was an oval shaped enclosure with a single cantilever stand. In the 1970s, a cover was erected over the popular terrace.
In 1993 the metropolitan area of Ferrol built
Estadio de la Malata to the west of the town, near the valley of Serantes. The total cost of the development was 1700 million pesetas. The first match there played was on 18 April 1993, in a 3-2 win over Atlético Madrid B. The official inauguration took place on 29 August, in a triangular tournament featuring the home side and neighbours Celta de Vigo and Deportivo La Coruña.
